Someone to record measurements Instructions: 1. Measure the resting heart rate of the volunteer 2. The volunteer must jog for 30 seconds. After this, 30 seconds, record their heart rate. 3. As soon as the heart rate is recorded, the volunteer must jog for 30 more seconds. Record their heart rate again. 4. As soon as the heart rate is recorded, the volunteer must jog for 30 more seconds. Record their heart rate again. Record the data in a table like: Heart Rate Time Resting heart rate (t 0) First set of 30 seconds (t - 30) Second set of 30 seconds (t-60) Third set of 30 seconds (t -90) Now: 1. Take your data points and think about how you could display this data. Make a visualisation of the data points. 2. Look at the starting and end points. What differences can you see? 3. Do you think, if you continue to do this process, the heart rate of the volunteer will continue to increase uncontrollably? Why or why not? 4. Do your data points seem to show some kind of function?
