In this part you are required to organise a 15 minute brainstorming session with three participants from the organisation used in Assessment Event 2. The purpose of this session is to:

• seek feedback on the WHS - New worker induction guide - Draft developed in Assessment Event 2
• assist with developing or modifying the two workplace policies that support compliance according to organisational policies and procedures, and WHS legislative requirements. This will be based on the recommendations outlined in Assessment event 2, Project: Part 3, Q4
• discuss record-keeping and maintenance of WHS legislative compliance documents and how they will be reviewed.

Task 1: Prepare for the brainstorming session

1. You should refer to the list of criteria in the Assessor Observation Checklist to understand what you need to demonstrate in this section of the assessment. This checklist outlines the assessment criteria used to assess your performance.
2. Decide on the participants for your brainstorming session.

For example, if you are using Plan2go:

• You: WHS Coordinator
• Participant 1: Represents a Health and Safety Committee member
• Participant 2: Represents a Health and Safety Committee member
• Participant 3: Represents the operations manager

1. Provide your team members with instructions on their role in the brainstorm.
2. Send copies of the following documents from Plan2Go or your chosen organisation to the brainstorm participants:

• Organisational policies and procedures, and WHS legislative requirements determined in Assessment Event 2: Project - Part 1.
• WHS - New worker induction guide - Draft, Assessment Event 2: Project - Part 2.
• Compliance report policies and procedures, Assessment Event 2: Project - Part 3.
