In this unit you will review perspectives and information on Palliative Care, Hospice and End of life Care. These brief descriptions and videos will share insight into the foundation defining WHAT these ARE and WHAT they ARE NOT. This is a topic often filled with debate, misinformation, and confusion but in this unit you will be exposed to these elements to understand the core of what these important terms mean.

With these are areas you will likely need to continue your own research as each area is so vast it is difficult to put into any kind of condensed format such as this. With that said, please use the sources in this unit, and other outside sources, to respond to the following questions in your Unit's Reflection;

1. Please share you initial understanding of these concepts (All three) on what you perceived to know prior and after this unit.
2. After viewing the sources you should have a much stronger idea of how these integrate into the whole care of one person during their lifetime of care and that people can go in/out of these phases not placing them in one for infinity. That being said, how do we change the perceptions around these areas to educate people about not only their definitions, but importance?
3. What is one thing we can improve upon using these elements in healthcare? Please provide at least one specific example using sources to support your perspective.
