In this week's prompt, we are forced to consider a tradeoff that may occur when hiring a new candidate. A perfect candidate would be someone with a great personality, attitude, along with the required skill set for the job. Unfortunately, that is not the case with example. In Cockerell's scenario, this candidate shows promising characteristics with a "can do" attitude and Lee describes them as a candidate with "high potential". The only problem is they don't possess the skillset needed to perform the job. If it were my choice, I would hire them. My decision is based on a few strategies found in Creating Magic. In his book, Lee describes turning down many qualified candidates because they did not match the culture or environment he was trying to maintain (Cockerell, 2008).
