Individuals are licensed as CPAs by individual state or territory (such as Guam). Information on the requirements for each state can be found on the National Association of State Board of Accountancy (NASBA) web site. The Uniform CPA is administered by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and information about the components of the CPA test requirements can be found on the AICPA website.

Required:

Identify the education requirements of a state or a territory of your choice that you intend to apply to and take the test under their jurisdiction. Be as selective of the choice of the state or the territory as you realistically can.

List the work experience requirements in your state or territory. Is an experience in the industry as an accountant or as internal auditor suffice to be eligible to become a CPA? Do you have to specifically work under the supervision of a CPA to meet the work requirement?

Print and submit the required forms as part of your application ( I prefer that you complete these forms like you are submitting the application tomorrow).

List the sections of the CPA Uniform test and discuss the coverage of each section.
