InMarch 2013, Indy Inventor developed a new process for manufacturing unbreakable glass. Eleven months later, in February 2014, she filed a patent application on the glass, keeping the process secret. The patent examiner at the USPTO felt that the original application was too broad and asked Inventor to narrow the scope of her claims. In January 2015, Inventor amended her patent application, dropping the broadest of her claims and offering narrower versions of the remaining claims. From February 2015 until August 2015, Inventor and the USPTO continued to go back and forth on the scope of the claims with Inventor submitting new claim language on the same claimed material every 4 weeks (on average) during that span of time.
