Attorney Joyce has told you that Peg has decided to file a pro se complaint against both Edward the Topiary Artist and the Scissorfist Lawncare Service. In accordance with her ethical rules and her legal representation contract with Peg, Joyce agreed to write the complaint for Peg, but she will not provide legal representation in court for her. Nonetheless, Joyce has authorized you to help Peg to file the complaint electronically.

While you and others in your law office have e-filed numerous documents on behalf of clients that the law office fully represents, you have never done so on behalf ofpro se litigants like Peg (who is not represented for litigation purposes). Joyce advised you to watch the 12 minute Self-Represented Litigant Filing a New Case training video. Then use that as your basis to not only help Peg directly (Note: do not actually file anything in this real court about this fictitious character. Instead, just follow the below instructions.), but also provide a technical step-by-step report that other employees in your law firm could use to help other clients in Peg's circumstances (as a self-represented litigant) through the process of filing a complaint in Florida Courts e-Filing Portal. Compose a succinct training report ( include graphics, if needed. If you do not use images, then your report can be considerably shorter; the practical value of your information is more important than the number of pages). Identify your source material, as appropriate

1. Provide an overview and detail the key points of what and how to file a new case, as used in the "Self-Represented Litigant Filing a New Case" tutorial. Note why each of the mentioned documents would need to be created and filed in a civil action, even by pro se (unrepresented) litigants. Do not copy language from the video; provide your own personal critical thinking analysis. However, you may provide up to three (3) screenshots from the video, so long as you provide correct pinpoint Bluebook (or APA) style pinpoint citations to the exact place in the video where the screenshot for each can be found.
2. Explain what you learned from this assignment, especially about the Florida Courts e-Filing Portal's purpose and functions as they may relate to the law firm, Peg (and the firm's other clients).
3. Conduct your own follow up research (either in the library or through the internet) as part of your analysis here. Discuss why you went in that direction, including what you hoped to learn and how you sought unbiased information (or counter-balanced the bias that you noticed).
4. Based on having watched the "Self-Represented Litigant Filing a New Case" video, discuss the professional roles within the law office (e.g., attorney, paralegal, legal administrator, receptionist, etc.) who ought to know how to e-file documents through the Florida Courts e-Filing Portal, as well as your perception of its user-friendliness. Share any tips that you can think of that could make it easier for others in your office to use.
