Introduction to Management Information Systems Group project The purpose of the project is to generate a good project idea, it is very important to build a database for a real-world entity (manufacturing or Service Company, NGO, or Governmental unit etc.). Familiarity with the chosen entity will be extremely helpful, as it will enable you to conceive and relate better to the core activities and processes of that entity. The undertaken project must generate value for the entity in some form (e.g., streamlining the process, decreasing time to handle information, increasing competitiveness, easier and quicker to reach potential Clients etc.). Introduction of my idea for the report: The entity is an entertainment center that provides a fun space for groups and individuals. The customer can make reservations for a tennis table, a chilling room, and a bowling lane so once they arrive, they will find everything prepared for them. From the entity website, the customer can check whether the sections are full or if there is space available for booking. In addition, with the entity website, customers will be able to make booking quickly and easily. Guidelines for the project report I. The report must provide the motivation for undertaking the specific project (1-2 pages), more specifically: What is the current scenario? What are the problems being faced by the entity? How does the database system solve or tackle the existing problems? How will the proposed system create value for the organization? General description of the proposed system II. Briefly describe the intended users of the system (who, how many, why, access level, and when the users should use this system).
