Development of Information Systems for Hayat Yogurt Company

Hayat Yogurt Company is one of the leader companies in the market producing yogurt related products. However, the total sale number of the company has started to decrease in the last mounts. The management has investigated the causes of this fact and realized that the competitor companies use Information Systems very effectively and the prices of their products are becoming more and more cheaper. The management has recently employed you as a chief information officer $($CIO$)$ and your task is to make a plan to transform the company to a modern company which uses information technologies for its business. The aims of the company are:

$$ Obtaining customer intimacy,

$$ Improving decision making,

$$ Gaining competitive advantages over competitors.

The structure of the company is as follows:

$$ The factory is in a village near Ankara.

$$ The company has $5$ distributors located in different cities $($Ankara$,$stanbul$,$zmir$,$ Adana, Erzurum$).$

$$ The company has $50$ retailer shops in different cities.

$$ The company has the following $4$ main functional departments:

o Manufacturing and production

o Sales and marketing

o Finance and accounting

o Human resources

At the first stage, the company wants to acquire$/$develop an IS to manage its products from production to sale through the organization given above. Note that the company has several unique business processes. The management wants to finish the project in $18$ months.
