"Is there a difference in the weight of Apples produced by trees before and after the application of fertilizer?"

A farmer is concerned that the fruit produced by a species of apple tree growing in his orchard

is not heavy enough to be sold in the local supermarket. He hopes that the application of fertilizer to the trees will result in a change in the weights of the apples. Ten trees without fertilizer were analysed, then the same ten trees were applied fertilizer and analysed.

At 5% significance level test the hypothesis that there is not difference in the weight of apples before and after fertilizer.
