I've seen friends/family members surf through 100-200 cable channels and say, "Man...there's nothing for me to watch!" How can that be? Especially with the specialized niche programming of cable, there should be something for everyone at all times. critics such as Ray Bradbury felt the television medium had so much promise, power, and potential to educate/entertain and serve the public interest--and the industry just wasn't doing its job at the time. With so many choices currently out there, do you feel television has achieved this promise? If so, provide examples of shows/networks/cable outlets/streaming services that provide "quality programming" (however you want to define "quality")? If not, why?
