Juan and Berto entered into a contract of sale whereby Juan agreed to sell his watch to Berto for P15,000.00. Upon its perfection, Berto paid in advance the full purchase price of P15,000.00 directly to Juan which the latter accepted. It was, however, stipulated that the watch would be delivered by Juan to Berto after 15 days since it is still in the repair shop. Unfortunately, the watch was completely destroyed through no fault of Juan but was due to a fortuitous event. Upon hearing about the unfortunate event, Berto wants Juan to return the money he paid. Can Berto recover the amount that he already paid in advance to Juan?
