1. Language and identity. How does language shape your identity? (it may be helpful to rewatch the "Both not half" TED talk if you choose this option). If you speak two or more languages, is there one you are more drawn to? Why? Have you ever felt uncomfortable speaking a certain language? What was the situation and how do you navigate it?
2. Code switching. What was your impression of the code switching TED talk? Did you agree or disagree with her? Do you have experience code switching yourself? If so, when does that occur and what is it like for you? Have you witnessed others (friends, family members, co-workers) code switch? What was your reaction?
