Learning Center: Blackmons Learning Center Title of Book: Picnic in the Park Learning Objective: Recall details from the story and create a detailed picture of what events took place. Areas of Language Target: Listening, memory, and hand-eye coordination. Center Materials: Paper, crayons, and markers Step-by-step instructions: I will read the story to the kids. Then I will ask them questions about the story to make sure they were listening. I will pair them up into groups and tell them to draw for me in details what the story was about. Some methods that I would use to access students development are: respond to childrens vocalizations and speech, talk with children more, provide them with more information about objects, emotions, or events, and use complex grammar with a rich vocabulary. Young children approach learning in different ways, each bring a unique set of attitudes, habits, and preferences to their interactions and explorations. As the teacher, it will be my responsibility to understand how each student learn so that I can support their learning development. I can use different approaches daily to help strengthen their learning development. Examples of approaches can include, engagement-focus on activities that interest them, and problem solving-solve problems that they encounter while playing.
