Embedded IT-values: values that are assumed in the work behaviors that the IT is designed to enable

Group Values: values that are shared among the members of a group (i.e., national, organizational, group-level).

Examples of conflicts are:

1. An organization that implements an application without customizing it to its particular users group (system conflict)

2. Members of an organization do not perceive that technology contributes to fostering the members' values (e.g., financial gains) (contribution conflict)

3. Values of the members of a group differ from values embedded in the technology. For example, team members value flexible or remote working, but the software they use is not designed for remote teams and does not work well or does not work at all on cloud (vision conflict)
