Lets assume that the price of an ounce of gold is $1,700.00 How much would you pay for one pound of this gold?

I multiplied 1 X1700.00 = 1700 then divided 1700 / 28.4595 = 59.97 but still have the process wrong,

Then I just multiplied 1700 x 16 ounces (makes 1 pound) but got 27,200 but it is not correct. I also tried this using the

troy ounce of 1.2152778 x $1700.00= $2065.97226
