Fact- something for which it's existence is indisputable (i.e. Romeo has kissed Juliet on various occasions)

Assumption- something that is accepted as true or certain to happen without proof (i.e. Romeo always calls Juliet once every hour.Romeo failed to call Juliet between 2 - 3pm because he fell asleep; therefore, Juliet gathered Romeo's phone must have been lost, broken, or out of power)

Inference- a logical and educated but uncertain belief (deduction, or an assumed fact) reached on the basis of evidentiary proof, or information presently available to determine the existence of other facts. (i.e. Juliet has a medical band on her wrist, wasrecently being discharged from the hospital, has a diaper in her hand, spit-up on her shirt, and a bottle warming in the microwave.We can infer that Juliet has recently had a baby.What would our conclusion be instead?How do you distinguish these two outcomes?)

Conclusion- a judgment or proposition that is reached or developed as the result of logical information obtained concerning a set of given circumstances.(i.e. Romeo and Juliet have been dating for many months.Romeo bought an expensive engagement ring, reserved a private booth at an expensive restaurant, bought flowers and hired a professional vocalist specializing in serenades.We can conclude Romeo is going to propose to Juliet / or that Romeo is going to propose.)

Generalization- a general statement or concept obtained from inference through specific cases. (i.e. Juliet is concerned that Romeo may have a "wayward penis", so Juliet requires Romeo to check in with her once every hour, and she monitors his text messages, incoming phone calls, and IG account. Juliet's rules and paranoia concerning infidelity cause Romeo extreme unhappiness.Two months later he ends up cheating on her with Guinevere.Men who are unhappy cheat on their girlfriends.)

Detective Tracem tells District Attorney Gettem the following story to convince Gettem to issue an indictment:
