Discuss some (but not necessarily all) of the main themes/events we discussed in class regarding Spanish Louisianainitial administration and the revolt of 1768, immigration to the colony, the war with Great Britain, the evolution of slavery, economic changebut in doing so, note any differences with developments in the thirteen British North American colonies. (Basic knowledge of early American history is a plus, but I pointed out some of these contrasts in the course of my discussions. Hint: colonists in Louisiana in 1768 and in British North America in 1775 had different reasons for their revolts. Additional hint: differences in immigration should be obvious.)
