Design a high-pass filter to eliminate the low frequency component of the signal given in

s=sin21000t+sin28000t

  1. The specifications of the filter is given as
    1. Sampling frequency = 20 kHz
    2. Filter type : Elliptic
    3. -3db cut off frequency = 6 kHz
    4. Stopband gain = -30dB

Use MATLAB fdatool (or filterdesign tool) to determine the minimum order of the filter. Then using this order, design your prototype and convert it to analog high pass filter

  1. The following plots are required:
    1. Single sided frequency spectrum of the input signal (using fft)
    2. Frequency response of the filter using freqz
    3. Single sided frequency spectrum of the filtered signal (using fft)
