Assess how you communicate with friends, classmates, coworkers, and others from different cultural backgrounds, by asking yourself the following questions. How do you know you have biases and stereotype? What do you do, if anything, to prepare yourself for intercultural conversations? Do you or have you used language that is biased or potentially offensive to people from other cultures? What is your reaction to people who use offensive words or phrases while describing cultural groups? Is your perception and biases influenced by media, school, or talking to others.

Discuss your personal experience communicating with someone from a different culture. Provide information you learned from your text on ways to effectively communicate with people from different cultures that will break down stereotypes and biases.
