Mr Croft is a public practitioner who has worked in the transportation sector for fifteen (15) years. He was appointed as Project Director for rail infrastructure in the south of Kurrupt in June 2018. He reports directly to the Minister For Transport. Looking at previous rail project records, Croft identified some value for money leaks, including corruption and asset misappropriation and was determined to prevent such leaks during his term as Project Director. To ensure value for money objective is achieved for every expense, he applied the principle of 3 Es economy, efficiency and effectiveness to assess and measure performance.

In April 2019, Croft addressed public concerns on behalf of the Chief Executive of Transport, about the execution of rail infrastructure projects which were to take place over 18 months starting from June 2019.

On the 19th of December 2020, it was discovered that an officer reporting to Croft might have been involved in the embezzlement of funds recently appropriated for the rail infrastructure projects. Croft was invited to an investigation panel to discuss the alleged embezzlement of funds case. Croft voluntarily resigned from duty the next day.
