Task A: IP Addressing Design of a Corporate Network (20 Marks) This task is related to the design of IP networks. You are given a task to design an IP addressing scheme for a corporate network. The background information is provided below: Background: ABC Inc has a plan to open 3 branch offices within the greater Northeast. At present, the main office is located in Newcastle. New branch offices are planned in Gateshead, Durham, Morpeth. The requirement for number of hosts at each site is noted in the Figure 1. All sites will connect to the main site using a dedicated point-to-point communication link. Further, the connectivity to the Internet is provided by routing network traffic through the main office. Figure 1: High level design topology of the network Design Requirements: You are asked to create an addressing scheme using variable length subnet masking (VLSM). It is required thet you must chose a private IP address within 192.x.x.x/22. Your network must support and meet the host requirements for as shown in Figure 1. Task A Deliverable: You are required to design the IPv4 addressing based on the design requirements as shown in Figure 1. The addressing scheme should be designed to conserve addresses for future use. Discuss the approach you will use to tackle this task. For each subnetwork, provide all details including the network address, broadcast, and valid hosts. Show working of your steps. Task B: Configuration and implementation using Cisco IOS (20 Marks) This task requires configuration of the IP Addressing design produced in Tesk A using Pecket Tracer (or Cisco Routers). Provide your configuration steps and final configuration at each router to achieve full IP connectivity. Please note that the main office connects to the Internet via an ISP router. The ISP has provided you with subnet IP address of 129.173.143.0/30. You must assume that initially all routers are running a version of Cisco 10S and there is no running configuration. Any viable method to achieve full IP connectivity is acceptable. Task B Deliverables: 1) A brief discussion about your approach to configure the network. You shall provide design of the physical topology along with the list of hardware needed to implement the design. 2) Final configuration of all routers in the network. The final configuration must contain all necessary elements to demonstrate host name, interface addresses and IP connectivityStep by Step Solution
