Exposure to naphthalene includes anemia and marked reductions in red cell count, this effect is produced by reaction with $\{O\}.$ The metabolism of naphthalene is similar. to that of benzene, starting with an enzymatic epoxidation of the aromatic ring, shows this reaction.
