Negligence

Search the internet for a medical malpractice case that involved a healthcare professional and negligence.

1. Provide a short summary of the case.

2. Describe the type of negligence involved in the case. (see page 230 for the four elements of a negligence lawsuit.)

3. Critical thought: Would a much larger award have been rendered at trial than through settlement? Include your rationale and explain.

4 Include a conclusion that explains your opinion of the case and the settlement. Hint: was it justifiable, or was it too large or too small a settlement, etc? If the amount was not disclosed, should it have been?

The essay must have two pages, double-spaced with content (minimum). Include a cover page and a reference page with references in APA format. Use in-text citations appropriately. Subject to Turnitin.
