Olivia is an OttawaU student taking CRM 1301 with Professor Gordon. In class. Olivia met Max and they flirted throughout the entire semester. Max finally asked Olivia out in December, but then he never showed up for their date. When Olivia returned home that night. she yelled at her little sister Mia and ripped off the head of Mia's favourite Barbies Olivia had planned to study for the final exam with Max, but since he no longer returns her texts, she has not spent very much time going over her notes. In fact. she has not done any of her readings. Even though she is behind, Olivia accepts an invite to a pub crawl and tells herself that "one drink won't hurt" and that a night out would motivate her to study the next day. As she left the house, she told her older sister that this was the sort of distraction she needed to get over Max. The morning after the pub crawl. Olivia was very hungover, and she didn't get out of bed until 4pm, and she missed brunch with her family again. When her sister approached her about her overconsumption of alcohol last night and for the past 4 months, Olivia firmly stated that she does not have a drinking problem. Even though Olivia has missed several lectures due to her drinking and blacked out many times, she feels that her drinking is under control and that she could stop if she wanted to. When Olivia finished her exam on Wednesday. she knew that she didn't do very well, and she was very upset with Professor Gordon for making the exam so hard. When Professor Gordon wished her a Merry Christmas. Olivia shook her hand, gave her a big hug, and told her that she thought the exam was exceptionally fair and that CRM 1301 was her favourite class ever! Two weeks later when Olivia received her failing grade of 40%, she burst out laughing when she realized that she would have to quit her summer job to re-take the course. Olivia booked an appointment with the TA Yana to review her exam, and when she saw how horribly she did. it made Olivia so uncomfortable and sad that she told herself that she would never think or speak of this exam or Max again. She had such a bad experience with this course and Max that she wanted it to be like they had never existed Olivia sucked her thumb the entire drive home from school and then she ran into her mother's arms crying. After her mom rocked her for 10 minutes and dried away her tears. Olivia drove to the gym blaring Metallica and singing at the top of her lungs. When she arrived. she immediately signed up for a kick boxing class where she worked up a good sweat pounding the punching bag.
