On 22 January 2020, one Felix (buyer) engaged Jennifer Molefe (complainant/Client) to purchase PPE to the tune of USD 150,000 with installment payment. Jenifer agreed and subsequently supplied the goods to the buyer at a store located at Dansoman, Accra.

Felix then paid USD 50,000 cash and issued two (2) company bank checks of USD 50,000 cashable on the coming Friday to Jenifer

Both checks were rejected. The bank further indicated that the checks account had been closed 5 years ago. Felix has since refused to pick up Jenifer’s call and the store to which the goods were delivered has been shut down without a trace of the goods.
