One difficult aspect of writing a business plan is effectively dealing with problems or weaknesses-and every business has them. An entrepreneur, wanting to make a good impression, may become so infatuated with an opportunity that he or she cannot see potential fatal flaws. For instance, an entrepreneur might fail to ask, "What is the possible impact of new technology, e-commerce, or changes in consumer demand on the proposed venture?" If there are weaknesses in the plan, the investors will find them. At that point, an investor's question will be "What else haven't you told me?" The best way to handle weaknesses properly is to consider thoroughly all potential issues, to be open and straightforward about those issues, and to have an action plan that effectively addresses any problems.
