Draw the structures of the four standards used (ethanol, 2-propanol, t-butyl alcohol and benzyl alcohol was used ) in the Lucas test and indicate what type of alcohol they are (primary, secondary, etc.). Using your data, and structures, to explain the differences in reactivity.

The Lucas Test Add six (6) drops of a) ethanol b) 2-propanol c) t-butyl alcohol d) benzyl alcohol and e) your unknown alcohol to separate (small) test tubes. To each tube, add 3mL of the Lucas reagent. Stopper the test tube, shake, and allow the mixture to stand. Document your observations and write your discussions and conclusions, be sure to include relative times
