Organizations experience different results when focusing on various aspects of attracting potential employees to their business. Some businesses excel when drawing in people and others should probably rethink their strategy so they are able to help grow their business and are able to fill their vacancies with qualified personnel. To better explain certain factors employers need to consider, I'll use the open vacancy in my office as an example. My office is responsible for facility maintenance and to support the site with various tasks, such as office moves. We have a federal laborer position open but we haven't received much interest and the position has been vacant for over four years. Since I took my position, I have been trying to push to get our vacancies filled with qualified, quality people. I've thought of a plan to better strategize how to get people to want to work for us. Before readvertising the position, I want to consider what effects not have someone in that slot is having on our office's overall productivity. Is the position really necessary
