Pirated or unlicensed software is not new in the Philippines. Yes, the Philippines have laws but the question is, is it really implemented? Do they strictly follow and apply the law? Every corporate should make their software legal before they can operate their businesses because data privacy and security are a big problem if a breach of security happens. Making their software legal is not only for the corporate's safe but also for their clients.

Corporates are in using unlicensed or pirated software as it is cheap than the licensed one. CEO/Corporates doesn't really aware of how risky using unlicensed software. The law is not strictly implemented. Corporates are businesses and we know that businesses are for making money and corporates are more focused on sales and income and they usually see the use of licensed software as additional expenses. Sadly, some corporates do not really understand the risk of using unlicensed software and the importance of securing the data by using licensed software. 

It's so sad that piracy is still alive because some of them have no money, others are just curious but most of them do it for work and money, that is why when they are caught in the act they have money to pay them, but I do believe that they cannot escape the law everyone is punishable by the law. The use of unlicensed software must be stopped completely throughout the world. Software privacy is a major problem that is faced by the entire world. Software industries suffer from piracy, losing about billions of dollars every year.
