Our client needs to purchase a portable heater for an industrial lab that needs to be open for ventilation purposes. Air enters the lab through the door and leaves the lab through the window. Assume the outside air which flows into the lab is at 5C. The air in the lab is considered well mixed from people moving around in it and equal to the temperature of the air leaving the lab out the window. Air passes through the lab at a rate of n=0.5mole/min and an average of N=10,000 moles of air are contained within the lab. (We will neglect the change in the amount of air in the office as a function of temperature). CV,air=0.718kgKkJ and heat is lost to the outside at a rate of QlostseckJ=k(TT0), where k=0.15kW/K. Process Characterization Your team has purchased a small heater that produces heat at constant rate of 1500 Watts. When the air entering the lab was 16C, you measured the steady state air temperature in the lab to be 25.1C. Our client wants to know the steady state lab temperature as a function of heater used, the temperature as a function of time. Rubric Each individual will submit a short report documenting the results of the analysis. The report should contain the following: 1. A labeled diagram of the process. (10 points) 2. Sample calculations for steady state air temperature, TSS (10 points) 3. A plot of temperature as a function of time for each heater if T0=16C, from t=0 to t= (Steady State) (15 points) Thank you for your initial analysis of this project for our client
