Part 1: Read over the scenario and answer the questions that follow.

Scenario: You are representing the buyer in a transaction and just received the home inspection report. Apparently, there seems to be some water damage in the living room. The inspector states on his report that further inspection (opening up the wall) is recommended as he is unable to determine where the leak started, and there could be possible mold inside the wall. It could be from the roof or possible a pipe somewhere in the house. The roof is close to 20 years old yet the seller has only owned the property for eight years.

Discuss how the problem should be dealt with, how the Request for Repair form shown in the textbook would be filled in to reflect the different possible courses of action, and specify how you would negotiate a final resolution so the transaction could continue.
