Part A - Scenario - software upgrade You are working as a project team member assisting the communications officer. This is a new project and its purpose is to update the insurance claims software to reduce the time it takes to process an insurance claim. The objectives of the organisation are: ? be the leader in insurance claims processing; ? make the claim process easy for customers to lodge a claim; ? processing and approval to happen within 72 hours for 95% of claims. The project will require interviews of staff that process claims as well as clients to determine their needs and using their experience to determine how the objectives above can be delivered. Once these are documented, then the IT team can start to design the software updates and proceed with the build and testing. Staff are to be involved in the testing to provide relevant feedback to identify any issues from a user perspective. Final testing to be completed and then company wide rollout of the software with training provided 1 week before rollout.
