Part A

SYSMECH is a small company and their desktop computers are often used by more than one user. They have requested their new Linux desktop be configured with three user accounts:

Sysmech_Admin An administrator account.

Sysmech_User1 A standard account.

Sysmech_User2 A standard account.

They also want a folder in the Sysmech_User1 home directory, named project_one shared using SMB with read and write access for all users.

TASKS

Create the three user accounts described above.

Document the passwords used for each account.

Create and share the folder described above.

Document the commands and/or steps used.

Part B

SYSMECH take privacy and security seriously. They were recently the victims of a data breach and want to ensure they are doing their best to prevent it from happening again. They want you to ensure all security patch and updates are applied and provide them with instructions detailing how to change the passwords of the user account you have created, and offer suggestions for how to choose adequate passwords.

TASKS

Install all security updates

Document the number of security updates that were applied.

Create a simple guide instructional guide for changing and choosing user passwords.
