Pauline Kadzo and James Kahindi were married in a colourful church wedding in December 2018 in Mombasa, Kenya. The couple has two children. Colletta, aged 5 years, was born before the solemnization of the marriage. Charlene is aged 2 years. The family relocated to Switzerland immediately after the wedding ceremony, following Kahindi's new appointment at the United Nations Headquarters. Kadzo was unable to work and opted to pursue postgraduate studies in the University of Geneva, due to her and her husband's diplomatic status in Switzerland. As a stay home mother, Kadzo carried out all the child rearing and household chores.

During the course of their stay in Switzerland, the couple purchased and invested in property in Kenya. Since Kadzo had a more flexible schedule, she would supervise and manage all the investment projects. The projects included a guest house in Malindi, a matrimonial home in Mombasa, a dairy farm in Nakuru and a property management company in Nairobi. The immovable properties are either jointly registered or solely registered in the name of James Kahindi. The matrimonial home and the dairy farm are jointly registered in the couples names. The apartments in Nairobi and the guest house in Malindi are solely registered in Kahindi's name.

The marriage began experiencing difficulties in early 2021. Kahindi became extremely controlling and manipulative. He deliberately withholds finances from Kadzo so she is unable to make purchases for herself and the children. He is always enraged whenever he hears that Kadzo is spending time with female friends. As a result, Kadzo has been completely isolated and depressed.

During the just concluded holidays, the family travelled to Kenya. Kadzo confided in her elder sister about the marital problems. She was advised to visit your law firm for legal advice on her options/rights in relation to the dissolution of the marriage, the division of the matrimonial properties and parental responsibility for the two children.
