Photography Assignment

$2$ Portrait photos $($Interview style$)$ of a friend

Take I photo at a low aperture f$/$I$\mathrm{.}4-65\mathrm{.}6($or lowest possible on camera$)$

Take I photo at a high aperture $($f$/$II$-$E$/22)($highest possible on camera$)$

Frame your subject in both images using the Rule of $3$rds

Set up appropriate lighting, including the use of a $(1)$ key light, and if possible, a $(2)$ backlight $($lamp$,$ window, flashlighc, etc.$).$

$3$ photos of the same subject using $3$ different white balance settings

Make a note of the white balance for each of the $3$ images

Use a tripod or other stabilizer $($railbench$/$table$/$etc$.)$ so the image framing is exactly the same. Use the same shutter speed and aperture.

$**$If your camera does not allow manual white balance settings, then you choose one other functionality and take $3$ variations of that same subject to explore your camera. Tell me in the notes what choice you made.

Pick I of the portrait photos and edit it for histogram $($lights$/$darks$/$histogram$).$ Use any software available to you. Tell me what choices you made

I Creative Color $+$ Reduced File Size

Take one of the images and apply some other creative color ideas. $*"$Save as$"$ a smaller file size for web $-$ such as $640480,800600$

Deliverables

I PPT File with all images on slide deck$-$Uploaded to Blackboard

Fill up most of the slide with your image

Put notes at the bottom to explain camera settings or file settings for each
