Please help by providing a brief response to each student's post below (Student 1: Fili Leiavva) and (Student 2 Brayden Trump). Does not need to be too thorough as it is just a discussion response.

Instructors Request: Review the two classmates' posts and respond to your peers. In each response, provide comments on each classmate's topic idea and ask a question that prompts each classmate to think more critically about how to explore the research topic in more detail. .

Fili Leiavaa . . . Thursday Describe effective methods you used in identifying and narrowing down to just one of the topics to further research for your Final Paper. I started by quickly researching each of the subjects to obtain some background knowledge that would aid me in choosing which study subject I wanted to learn more about and perhaps develop a different viewpoint on. Eliminating the subjects I was certain I did not want to research and write about was the most successful strategy I used to select the subject to study. I then decided which subject I could objectively explore in the final paper, and I reduced the list of subjects to one. Explain three ways you can critically analyze sources to determine if they are scholarly. A source's scholarly status can be ascertained in a number of ways. The use of the CRAAP test was one of them. It stands for authority, correctness, authority, relevance, and purpose. This test can assist in determining whether a source is reliable and pertinent to the subject under study. Utilizing citations for sources is another technique to assess a source's scholarly status. A source is not offering the most comprehensive information on the topic if it does not list citations or has few of them. The author's presentation of the information is my third criterion for determining whether a source is scholarly. A writer should offer evidence supporting both sides of the debate without ever attempting to sway the reader in favor of one position over the other. Summarize information from at least two scholarly journal articles from the UAGC Library that will support your claims for your chosen topic. The first article I found explores how microfinance affects poverty in various nations. It is titled "The Impact of Microfinance on Poverty and Income Inequality in Developing Countries." Extremely poor families and individuals are thought to require more help than normal impoverished families and individuals because it is likely that these people lack the education and skills needed to succeed in the workforce. Financial Inclusion, Poverty, and Income Inequality was the subject of the second article I thought was fascinating. Financial inclusion and the factors affecting it are covered in this article. Indicators for assessing macroeconomics and elements affecting those particular economies, including education level, are also covered. Explain why scholarly sources should be used to support your writing on the selected topic Scholarly sources provide accurate facts and information. These materials are typically written by specialists in the field who have also had their work assessed. Scholarly sources, as I've said before, should include information that is objective and presents factual data and information.C Brayden Trump . .. Yesterday Hello Class, Identifying and narrowing down research topics for a final paper requires careful consideration and evaluation. By engaging in initial exploration, brainstorming, narrowing down the topic through defining a research question, conducting a preliminary literature review, and considering feasibility and accessibility, students can confidently choose a suitable research topic that aligns with their interests and meets the requirements of their assignment (UAGC, 2022). Critical assessment is essential in today's information era, as it enables one to verify the truthfulness of sources. Scholarly materials play a crucial role in scholarly studies, and one must develop such skills to spot their legitimacy. One of the primary methods of critically analyzing a source's scholarly nature is to assess the credibility and expertise of the author. Experts with the requisite knowledge, qualifications, and experience often write scholarly sources. A scholarly article is typically published in a reputable journal or academic publishing house with a rigorous peer review process. This process ensures that experts in the field have thoroughly checked the research to see if it is accurate and conforms to the highest scholarly standards. The content of a source is an important aspect of scholarly study, as these are typically subjected to rigorous analysis and research. These sources are also accompanied by in-text citations and reference lists, providing readers with additional research sources. I claim that corruption is a persistent issue that plagues governments worldwide, undermining societal trust and impeding economic progress (Bland, 2014). Nelson and Goel analyze the link between corruption and political regimes in their study. They show that the presence of checks and balances can directly affect how corrupt organizations are. They also believe that political administrations indirectly promote corruption by molding the rules of law, economic development, and governance structures. Through their study, the researchers were able to gain a deeper understanding of how these indirect and direct influences affect the quality of governance in a country (Goel, 2021). The credibility of research papers can be established by using scholarly sources, such as books, academic journals, and articles that have been thoroughly reviewed. These sources must undergo a rigorous evaluation process to ensure they are reliable, accurate, and reflect the latest research techniques. Brayden
