QUESTION 2 (30 MARKS) The following table represent the running times of films produced by the two motion companies. Company Average time Standard deviation Frequency of running (in hours) (in hours) time taken A 97.4 V78.85 40 B 112 30.22 18 Assuming the running times of films for both companies follows a normal distribution a. Fahmi, the manager of company A claims that most of their running times of films produced by his company is more than 1 10 hours on average. Perform an appropriate statistical analysis to test his claim at 5% level of significance. (Confidence interval is necessary). (15 marks) b. During this COVID-19 pandemic era, Fahmi said that the running times should be increased in order to attract more viewer, while Rahimi, manager of company B states that the running times should be reduced to a certain level in order to prevent the transmission of the virus. In order to look for the differences, Fahmi only took only 12 running times compared to Rahimi that uses the actual frequency of running times of the films. By performing an appropriate statistical analysis, can both of the companies' managers said that there are some differences in their running times from the usual average running time of the films at 1% level of significance. (15 marks)
