With Panda Cares. for example, the program provides funds and learning experiences for its youth to grow. I was also surprised to learn of how many growth opportunio'es there were within the company. With the company providing savings accounts, insurance and phone plan options, and education assistance, these resources provide employees with assistance and more opportunities forgrowth in both their careers and personal life. It's always great to see companies care for their employees of all levels. as they are the ones working the front line to ensure the quality of restaurants stay consistent throughout the hundreds of Panda Express locations. Another aspect of the presentation I was surprised about was the number of locations and different food service brands they own. For example, I had no idea that Panda Express owned Raising Cane's. (-x' Reply ' hm... There were many things that I found really interesting in Joy Hsu's presentation. I really enjoyed hearing about the hospitality side of Panda Express because it used to be one of my favorite fast food meals. I thought it was great and impressive how she was able to expand how many locations she manages because it shows how she came a long way in her career. Ithought the Panda CaresAct was really interesting because I have never really heard much about it before. The fact that the corporation cared so much about their community during a time where many people struggled is amazing. The amount of money that was put into helping food insecurity for families: personal protective equipment, treatment for covid, and food for fro ntline workers was generous. l was also glad to hear that they have scholarship opportunities for their workers and their school work. You can tell that the corporation really cares about their employees. Another interesting thing they mentioned was about their food menu and how they are currently trying to adjust their menu to become a little more healthier. For instance. even though orange chicken was extremely popular: they are trying to adjust the recipe so that it is a little healthier for their consumers. 63' liesly
