I agree with your analysis on the current ratio for ExxonMobil. A current ratio of .78 to 1 in 2019 is concerning, as it may suggest the company does not have enough liquidity. I wonder how this number compares to the rest of the oil and gas industry, maybe as an industry they just dont need as much liquidity. Id also be interested to see how these numbers change in the 2020 annual report. The oil and gas industry, like so many other industries, has seen tremendous impacts to its business due to Covid. Many companies have not had enough cash to withstand the lower demand. Its likely that ExxonMobils current ratio for 2020 may fall lower based on declining sales and a drop in liquidity.
