Question 5 15 pts Experian would like to test the hypothesis that the average credit score for an adult in Virginia is different from the average credit score for an adult in North Carolina. A random sample of 42 adults in Virginia had an average credit score of 701 and a random sample of 38 adults in North Carolina had an average credit score of 680. It is believed that the population standard deviation for credit scores is 42 and 40 for Virginia and North Carolina residents, respectively. Experian would like to set a = 0.05. Define Population 1 as Virginia and Population 2 as North Carolina. a) What are the appropriate null (HO) and Alternative Hypothesis (H1) statements to test whether there is a difference between the average credit scores in the two states? (2 pts) b) Calculate the standard error for the difference between the two populations. (2 pts) c) Perform a hypothesis test at alpha=.05 level of significance to determine whether there is a difference between the averages for each state. Be sure to include your z-test (2 pts), critical z-value(s) (2 pts), p value (2 pts), and a complete conclusion (2 pts). d) Calculate the 95% confidence interval estimate for the difference between the two means. (3 pts) Upload an Excel file containing all of your work for this problem. Be sure to include your name in the upper left corner and label your answers clearly to each
