Drop all business-class observations and focus just on coach cabin (economy class). Perform a regression: Regress rtrip_fare on online, advance, roundtrip, travel restriction, mshare, hub, deppk_retpk, and depop_retop.

Required:

a. Identify the dependent and independent variables. Specifically state them.

b.Present your entire regression output provided by Excel. Include 95% confidence intervals for each variable as well.

c.After performing the regression, provide your rationale on each of the sign of the eight coefficients. Are there any signs that you do not expect and why?

d. Interpret the coefficient (not just the sign) of mshare. What does the coefficient tell you?

e. Is the effect of travel restriction on roundtrip airfare statistically significant at the 95% confidence level? Provide the confidence interval for such effect.

f. Perform a check on multicollineary using the variance inflation factor (VIF). Are there any particular variables that may potentially suffer from multicollinearity?

g. Look at the other variables in the dataset that are not included in this regression. Choose at least three variables that you think should be included in this regression. Explain why you think they should be included and provide your rationale on the potential signs(for each additional variable).

h. Following part f, proceed with the regression and report your whole regression output using Excel. Make sure to include those variables that were originally included in the question. Compare your results with what you had in part b. Are there any significant changes in terms of magnitudes and/or signs of the coefficients?
