Design of Windshield Wiper

Your task is to develop a design process for a windshield wiper for a car using Pro/E. You should choose a car model and estimate the dimension of two rectangular strip as shown

The windshield mechanism consists of a four-bar mechanism and a parallelogram mechanism, Figure 1.

Your design process as implemented in Pro/E should:

Have a skeleton model of the windshield mechanism

Have an embedded Mathcad sheet that uses the synthesis procedure of a four-bar for prescribed angle of sweep

Have definition of the input/output parameters for Mathcad sheet

Set the input parameters on Pro/E side using mouse

Send the parameters to the embedded Mathcad for computation of the output parameters

send the output parameters to Pro/E to finalize the sketch of the windshield wiper mechanism

have two lines to represent the extreme position of the output link of the four-bar mechanism

include a mechanism model of the windshield wiper with servo-motor to animate the motion of the windshield wiper mechanism

have 3D features for the links of the windshield wiper mechanism

Use your model and design a windshield wiper for the selected car

Animate your design and create a movie

Zip the movie and all the Pro/E files and upload them to email 815413813@qq.com plz.

Report the ratio of total swept area to windshield area. This is ratio will be used as a performance index of the design. Figure 2 shows the picture of a commercial windshield wiper.
