The Assignment:The objective of this assignment is to leverage what you learned in this course, and work in ateam to produce a project management plan for an applied project scenario. Think of it as adeliverable detailing the who, what, when, where, why and how of a project you've created.Your self-selected team of 5 people, will be responsible for choosing the project topic. The topic should be realistic (i.e assume your real identities and backgrounds) and beaffiliated somehow with George Brown College (i.e. a project for GBC, or by GBCstudents, or one from the community that partners with GBC). The budget for thisproject should approximately fall between $30,000-$100,000 dollars (talk to your prof ifyou want to target a project outside of this range). Pick a project that you areinterested in and has real impact, as you will be spending a great deal of time workingwith your team on this topic

Some suggestions might be (but not limited to):School/ Program ImprovementCharity/ Fundraising projectVolunteer group / George Brown chapter of an association in the communityGeorge Brown infrastructure project (classroom renno, bike racks, renovations)Technology implementation (electronic bookstore, alumni website, gbc app)Executing events for the program (i.e. speaker series, mentorship, networking nights)Any project or event that has a start and an end dateThis is project management in action ... so be sure that you respect the professionalism andwork effort that will be required to produce a quality project.

As a part of the group - each of you will be asked to complete a confidential peerevaluation of your team on your final exam. This will allow you to score each memberof your team based on the effort they put forward throughout the project. Marks maybe adjusted based on the feedback collected through this evaluation according to therubric below. A confidential peer evaluation will also be completed on the midtermexam so that students have an opportunity to understand how they are performingagainst the expectations they agreed to in the team contract, and adjust workeffort/behavior accordingly
