SM uses three activities to produce these products: design, fabrication, and assembly In turn the three activities use four overhead resources: Indirect labour workers, production workers, machine A, and machines Machine A has an annual cost of $265,000 and a practical capacity of 2,650 hours. Machine B has an annual cost of $348,000 and a practical capacity of 2.900 hours. Workers must be hired for the entire year. No partial worker hiring is permitted. Indirect labout workers are paid a salary of $81,000 per year. They work 250 days each year, and 8 hours a day. However, each day, Indirect labour workers are given a 15- minute break in the morning, a 15-minute break in the afternoon. 15 minutes of quality control training and 30 minutes for lunch. The production workers are paid a yearty salary of $59.500. The production workers also work 250 days each year. The workday is 8 hours however each day production workers are given a 15-minute break in the morning a 15 minute break in the afternoon, and 30 minutes for lunch. The following table identifies the hours of each activity that each product uses.
