Position Paper: Its essential to understand theImportance of Patrol Duty on New Police Officers

Each student will prepare a scholarly position paper on some aspect of the course which they believe is essential to understand about American policing. The paper should follow the cannons of a traditional academic paper and shall have references to scholarly literature that supports your position. The paper will range from 3-5 pages including the reference page. While a position paper may represent your opinion on a subject, it must have (1) and introduction, (2) body, and (3) conclusion.

In the introduction, compose an interesting sentence that draws attention of readers. Then introduce your topic and conclude this section with a thesis statement that reveals your position and why you have taken it.

In the body,of your paper your first paragraph must present an argument with a minimum of two evidentiary facts in support of your thesis statement. Your second paragraph includes a second argument with additional supporting evidence. Your third paragraph will present a third argument with more supporting evidence.

Your conclusionprovides a summary of arguments and/or claims with a strong statement that emphasized the position of the paper.

Formatting must be compatible with APA guidelines, 7^th edition. Thus, you must have an single introduction page, running heads, references within the text and reference page at a minimum.

I started the 3 page paper, see attachment. However, I need to add more research data to support the important of new officers starting patrol duty. Proofread and add additional comments to support the paper.
