C$3$ Module $5$ Activity Submission

Windows $-$ Open the application Notepad

Open the Windows Task Manager and find out the Process ID assigned for Notepad.

How much CPU and Memory is being utilized?

End Notepad from the Task Manager.

Now download and run the Process Explorer on your system.

Open Notepad again and observe the process on the process explorer.

Now try out the various operations that can be performed on this process from the Process Explorer $($Suspend$,$ resume, restart, and kill$)$

Using CLI, view the list of the running processes and kill a process using the process ID

Find out the command to kill a task using the process name on CLI.

Linux $-$ Open the application Firefox

List all the processes using the Terminal and observe the output.

Using the command, suspend the Firefox process using process id$.$

Now view the process list and observe the status mentioned against Firefox.

Using the command, continue the Firefox process and observe the status change.

Using the command, kill the Firefox process.
