Prefi Dx Codes Cluster S L E X type 4. (DAD) A patient was admitted to CCU from the emergency department where she was diagnosed with ST-segment elevation of ECG. She was given alteplase by IV infusion while in the emergency department. The final diagnosis was recorded as nonQ-wave myocardial infarction. (7 marks) 5. (NACRS) A 48-year-old man was seen in the emergency department with increasing SOB, orthopnea and a dry hacking cough. Chest x-ray revealed a right-sided pleural effusion. The patient was known to have a large cell ca of the right lung. A percutaneous needle thoracentesis was performed which confirmed malignant pleural effusion. As there was significant fluid, a chest tube was left in situ and connected to underwater seal. The patient was transferred to the medial unit. (8 marks)
