Problem #3: Given the crank slider linkage with lengths (inches) described below: Link 2 1.5 Link 3 4 Offset 1 02 45 Find the values of 03 & Sliding block displacement. Your answers will be in degrees / inches. Use the Graphical position analysis method and note the following: Draw the linkage to scale using drafting tools (e.g. straight edge, compass, protractor) to perform your graphical analysis. You may also use 2D CAD software if preferred. (NOT USING TOOLS WILL RESULT IN 50% DEDUCTION OF POINTS) Label all points and coordinate systems. If using a scale please indicate what scale are you using. Problem #4: For problem 3, if given that W2 = 1 rad/s. Find W3 & Velocity of the block using the analytical method and note the following: You must show all your analytical work (equations, calcs, etc...) You may use the excel template to check your work however problem will be graded on how you present your analytical work. No printed excel template will be accepted.
