Project Work Plan (20 points) Note: This homework assignment should be completed individually. By submitting this assignment, you certify that the work you have done is your own. Your answers to this homework may be used by your team later in the semester for the project deliverables. Background: In this assignment, you will continue creating documents associated with the planning phase for your semester project. Specifically, you will create a project work plan. Dont worry about making things perfect; create a solid start and details can be added/adjusted later in the project. Instructions: Using the syllabus as a guide for what work we will be completing this semester, create a simple project work plan. Use Figure 2-13 (p. 53 in 6th edition; p. 66 in 5th edition) as a template, but do not list the same steps as they did in that example. At this point in the project, keep it very high-level / abstract. You probably only need 10-20 rows in the table. (Hint: The steps in the third column of Figure 1-3 (p. 8 in 6th edition; p. 12 in 5th edition) are a good place to start.) Include tasks in the planning, analysis, design, and implementation phases. The generic tasks you list in your project work plan would probably apply to either the case project or a real-world project. The idea is that the plan starts out with abstract tasks and conservative date estimates, and then is continually refined throughout the project. 1. Note: For now, you can leave two columns blank that will be filled in later: staff assigned to the various tasks, and actual completion dates. 2. Hint: Use real dates from this semester. Planning, analysis, and design tasks will be completed during this semester, and use imaginary dates for implementation that would be planned to happen after this semester. Formatting and submission instructions: Use any software to complete these portions (e.g., Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, etc.), but format them similar to the textbook figures referenced in the instructions. When you have completed the project work plan, save it in Word or PDF format to submit. Submit via TITANium before the listed due date.
